- Description: Global Medical Brigades spends the school year fundraising and collecting medical supplies to prepare to brigade in a foreign country. This year the brigade will be traveling to Nicaragua. The brigade allows students to set up a clinic in an impoverished area of the country and provide much needed medical care to those who wouldn't normally get that care.

What unique contribution will this organization bring to campus?:
GMB provides awareness of the limited medical care available to many people in impoverished areas. Members of GMB take action to help those in need by traveling to put on a brigade in one of these locations.

Yes, the national organization of Global Medical Brigades. Also will work together with Public Health Brigades and Global Water Brigades on campus.

Selection Process:
Due to logistics and a limited number allowed to go on the brigade, we have a selective membership. We take applications in the fall for people to go on the brigade. Members are chosen based on experience, desire, and abilities. Those who are not selected to go on the brigade are still encouraged to stay involved with the club if interested.
